Opportunity
APG is looking for an HR Business Partner to provide strategic and operational HR support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. The role ensures consistent application of policies and programs, supports organizational development initiatives, and contributes to a high-performing and positive workplace culture.
Position summary
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on the application of policies and procedures related to recruitment, talent acquisition, talent management, training, compensation and employee benefits within a dynamic, multi-project environment.
- Partner with managers to provide expert guidance on performance management, succession planning, workforce planning, recognition, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Deploy HR programs and policies across the organization, ensuring consistent application while tracking progress and measuring results to drive impact.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in HR programs, policies, practices, and legislation to deliver accurate and strategic advice to internal clients.
- Advise and support managers in disciplinary processes (investigations, disciplinary meetings, drafting disciplinary measures) and prepare documentation when required.
- Coordinate workplace health and safety files in collaboration with Health & Safety advisors.
- Contribute to organizational development and act as a change agent, guiding managers through various organizational transformations.
- Promote a positive work climate.
- Analyze and interpret HR performance indicators for each client group to provide proactive, strategic recommendations.
- Serve as a key resource for employees, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness.
- Lead onboarding and integration for new corporate employees.
- Manage employee conflicts and absenteeism effectively and with empathy.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop innovative recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a similar role
- Strong business acumen, results-driven approach, and exceptional problem-solving skills
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written – an asset
- Outstanding leadership, initiative, and excellent communication skills
- Solid knowledge of MS Office tools and strong command of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
